The OutClubbing team visits
Windsor
|
| Last Saturday night the OutClubbing team decided to venture to the other side of London to the well known area of Windsor for a few cheeky beverages.
The night started in a few local pubs where Magners were swiftly consumed as the sun began to set. As soon as the sensible chat was done with we stepped up a gear and headed to the bars.

| Approached by some flyer-girls from Liquid, we felt obliged to head to the local Luminar Leisure venue with our expectations being fairly low... We were however pleasantly surprised as the venue was half full by 10:30pm, many of which were good looking women (which we also like). Southern comfort and lemonade along with an array of shots helped progress the night and with the added Dutch courage we ventured into the 80’s room and was hit by the loud sounds of Mr Jackson. Making a B-line to the dance floor to show off our moon-walking skills, we quickly realised that we seemed to be the only drunk people in the venue, and thus quickly proceeded back to the bar for some more shots (I have no idea why, but this seemed the best option at the time). We soon left liquid and headed to the smaller bars… First was Yello Bar which was a nice venue, large bar, but extremely hot. Not much else to comment about this venue, other than the clientele was distinctly older and friendlier. |
| Next door (Mantra) was where we spent the rest of the night. This venue claims it is the best in the town and the venue doesn’t disappoint. Set under a bridge, the exposed brickwork and subtle red and black décor gave a really relaxed yet sophisticated feel. Several cubby-hole-like areas gave us a chance to chill out before hitting the sizable dance area. My only criticism with this venue was the male to female ratio, which must have been 4 to 1 respectively. | ![]() |

Overall, Windsor is a pretty good place to party, however the pretentiousness is off-putting, but if you can get over it you’re sure to have a fun time. Personally I would have stayed in Liquid (although the drinks are slightly pricy).
