Eclipse Brentwoods newest nightclub..... Will it rival Sugar Hut?

Over recent years, brentwood has emerged as a more elegant destination for club and bar goers, typical of the West Essex clientele. With surrounding nightlife towns including Chelmsford, Basildon and Harlow, Brentwood is a prime position to attract Essex's elite.

With the huge sucess of Sugar Hut (www.sugarhutgroup.com) Eclipse instantly has a significant rival... The question is, can it compete?The short answer is no, however I dont think that they are trying to appeal to the same market, which may enable them to sucessfully compete.

The decor is a healthy mix of modern lighting with classic furniture. With many cubby-holes and a funky dance room, anyone visiting this place will definitly think its a vast improvement on the old Sam's nightclub!

However, I get the impression that this venue is targetting itself towards the younger clientele: 18-21's, possibly through the type of music played. It almost reminds me of a Liquid nightclub.

Overall rating: 6.5/10 - worth a visit, if you're into that sort of thing you will love it, otherwise you'll hate it.
